Treetop kitchens & Joinery is an independent family business based in Winscombe, North Somerset and have been operating in and around Somerset, chew valley, mendips, Bristol, and surrounding areas for over 24 years. Every kitchen, utility, bedroom, lounge, office and bathroom furniture is handcrafted bespoke and unique, because every client is different. Inspired by your tastes, home and lifestyle.

A little bit about me....

I am Shaun Baguley, I am in my mid 50s, a family man, with two grown up children, with over 38 years' experience in carpentry, joinery, and general building work. I am a 3rd generation joiner, learning my skills from my Grandad who was a traditional joiner who had learned his skills from his father, my great grandfather. 

I am a perfectionist and pride myself on my workmanship. I am easy to chat to and will listen to what you want.

I did my apprenticeship after leaving school developing my skills further. I have worked for companies such as Sunseekers, Wessex park homes, Bath style, and Mealings where I did various carpentry, joinery and building work, and project managed big jobs and teams. 

I have my own workshop, and also have a builder, plasterer, electrician and plumber who I can recommend. I am happy to project manage work and other trades if needed, which saves customers the hassle of dealing with lots of people. 

I have very recently taken 18 months off work to relocate house and workshop from North Bristol to North Somerset where I have been completing my own house renovations.

I have lots of customers who are willing to be contacted for references.

Prices are competitive 

Customers are often surprised that bespoke doesn’t necessarily mean unaffordable, I have low running costs and don’t charge vat which keeps costs low and competitive for my customers. Quotes are free and without pressure. 

Craft

Experienced, passionate and a perfectionist, I am a craftsman in the truest sense. Your kitchen or furniture will be handmade with care and precision, wether it’s solid Oak, Ash, Beech or Walnut, it will be beautiful and solid with no chipboard or laminate in sight. You can choose a hand-painted finish or a natural wood finish. I can also offer a tiling and carpentry/ joinery service so there no need to worry about those other little jobs as I can do these at the same time. 

Design process

At TreeTop kitchens and joinery everything is designed, made and fitted by myself, Shaun and yourself but before that process I usually visit you a few times to gain a sense of who you are and how you live and together it’s a chance to discuss initial ideas, styles, colours and materials in a relaxing environment. 
I can quote by visiting, but he can also quote via email if you have measurements and a rough idea of what you require. 
You will also be shown wood samples, door samples, cabinet colours, handles, and lots of photos of previous kitchens, or furniture that he has made. Finally you will be provided with a CAD 3D drawing if you are having a kitchen. 
  

Install

Once your kitchen or furniture has been made in my workshop it will need to be fitted, I will make sure this process runs as smoothly as possible for you. Your vision will come to life at this stage and you will finally have your luxury kitchen or piece of furniture. I will make sure you are satisfied and happy with the outcome.
